rgentine authorities have arrested the alleged founder of Al Ángulo TV, a notorious illegal sports streaming platform.

LaLiga is renewing its commitment to combat audiovisual piracy, which it says presents the biggest threat to the sports and entertainment industry.

Spanish LALIGA clubs are losing between €600 and €700 million a year as a result of online piracy, according to LALIGA president Javier Tebas. 

LALIGA has successfully blocked illegal broadcasts from two platforms that were relaying coverage of top-flight Spanish football.

La Liga, the Spanish sports association, reports that it has obtained more than a thousand convictions against hotels, bars and restaurants that have engaged in football piracy.
